Step 1

Preparation and cleaning

To mount the Profiler crampon, be sure to clean the spike reach area on the shoe. Insert a washer provided in the kit on the spike shaft and screw the assembly on the shoe. The thread of the shoe must be in excellent condition and clean. Tighten firmly by hand then use the Smart Power Screwdriver to place the crampon in the desired position. Once the stud is screwed in manually, you must do a minimum of half a turn in order to have a sufficient tightening. You can go up to more than one lap thanks to the crushing of the puck.

NO ADIDAS SCREW

Adidas screw threads have two inputs. So you have two different starting positions. The final position of the hand tightening is therefore essential for the final position after screwing to the key.

If, once screwed, it does not correspond to the desired position, unscrew the assembly, change the washer, possibly take another crampon, then redo the operation.

Washers should not be used again. They are for single use. Kits of washers are available for sale.

2nd step

Choice of configuation

  • Football configurations
  • RUGBY CONFIGURATIONS

Configuration

GUARDIANS, DEFENDERS, MIDDLE AND ATTACKERS

The front crampons are oriented towards the front of the shoe. This means that the area of contact with the ground is towards the front of the foot relative to its axis. This is particularly indicated for speed and acceleration.

The intermediate cleats on the middle part of the shoe will always be oriented towards the outside of the foot (to the right for the right foot and to the left for the left foot). Be careful to make sure to orient each foot differently. This will allow you to widen your footprint and optimize lateral stability, racing or dribbling. You will also reduce the risk of injury from rotating your ankle.

Finally, the rear crampons will be oriented towards the rear. They will allow you to stabilize during sudden stops, with a position towards the back, on the heels, during a strike or a kick stop.

Configuration

DEFENDERS, MIDDLE AND ATTACKERS

The front crampons are oriented diagonally towards the outside of the shoe. This orientation improves ball control.

The intermediate cleats on the middle part of the shoe will always be oriented towards the outside of the foot (to the right for the right foot and to the left for the left foot). Be careful to make sure to orient each foot differently. This will allow you to widen your footprint and maximize lateral stability while racing or dribbling. You will also reduce the risk of injury from rotating your ankle.

Finally, the rear crampons will be oriented towards the rear. They will allow you to stabilize during sudden stops, with a position towards the back, on the heels, during a change of direction or during a strike.

CONFIGURATION

REAR AND 3rd LINE

The front crampons are oriented towards the front of the shoe. This means that the area of contact with the ground is towards the front of the foot relative to its axis. This is particularly indicated for speed and acceleration.

The intermediate cleats on the middle part of the shoe will always be oriented towards the outside of the foot (to the right for the right foot and to the left for the left foot). Be careful to make sure to orient each foot differently. This will allow you to widen your footprint and optimize lateral stability, for example in race to avoid a plating. You will also reduce the risk of injury from rotating your ankle.

Finally, the rear crampons will be oriented towards the rear. They will allow you to stabilize during sudden stops, with a position towards the back, on the heels, during a duel.

CONFIGURATION

1st and 2nd line

This configuration is recommended for rugby and melee and optimizes thrust. Indeed, only the front crampons will be oriented differently: towards the rear. Thus, they will penetrate with a better angle and allow you to take "more inclination" during the scrum and push harder.

The intermediate studs are oriented towards the outside of the foot, this increases your lateral stability and reduces the risk of slipping when taking melee supports.

The rear spikes are rear-facing to maximize your power in a defensive duel or a change of direction.

CONFIGURATION

1st and 2nd line

This configuration is recommended for rugby and melee, it optimizes the thrust. The front crampons will be oriented towards the rear. Thus, they will penetrate with a better angle and allow you to take "more inclination" during the scrum and push harder.

The inner intermediate crampon is also oriented towards the back of the foot, it increases your stability during the pushing phase. The other three intermediate studs are outward facing for optimum lateral stability.

The rear cleats are oriented towards the rear for stability during a plating.

Finalization and video help

Take the tool and orient the crampon according to the chosen configuration (see overleaf)
Make at least a half turn, do not unscrew the crampon. If you have unscrewed, change the washer.
